Mansell leaves Ultimate Signature team

Mansell Motorsport and Ultimate Motorsport came together on Monday to announce that Greg Mansell will not be competing in this year's final two events in Germany and Spain as the Englishman is no longer part of the team.

Greg is joined in the garage by father and 1992 F1 World Champion Nigel

Mansell, son of 1992 F1 World Champion Nigel, had been set to contest the two final races of 2009 at the Nürburgring and Aragon's Motorland although a short statement on Monday morning announced that this would not be the case.

"It is of course with regret that we announce that Greg is leaving us," said team owner Barry Walsh. "He was a popular team member who showed us that he has a clear talent and progressed from race to race. We wish him all the best in his racing career."
