Fauzy joins Fortec Motorsport

The Fortec Motorsport team announced that Fairuz Fauzy has joined the team and will participate in the World Series by Renault for the remainder of the season, starting at the Monaco GP support race next week. Following a successful test with the team at Valencia at the end of the 2007 season, Fairuz has participated in both the GP2-Asia Series as well as A1GP. Fortec

Fairuz Fauzy commented: "I am glad and it is good to be back in the championship with the team that I had driven for during my Formula 3 days. It feels like home as Richard (Dutton) is no stranger to me and he is familiar with my driving technique. I did some testing with them at the end of last year and I believe we stand a good chance of challenging the front runners. I look forward to a wonderful start in Monaco."
