Molina joins Barba at Prema
05 February 2008Prema will field an all-Spanish driver line-up in the 2008 World Series Renault, as Angelo Rosin and his team completed their roster by adding 19-year-old Miguel Molina, from Barcelona.
The Spaniard will be partnering Alvaro Barba. Molina was successfully entered by Prema in last November's test, putting together a strong performance and impressing all the team's technical staff.
Molina, member of "Circuit de Catalunya Young Drivers Programme" shown a constant improvement during the 2007 season, adding a better car management during the race to his trademark qualifying strength. Molina and Barba are expected to bring Prema the right mix of experience and determination, in order to repeat the successful 2007 season, where the team proved to be able to fight for title until the very end.
Miguel Molina commented: "After very long negotiations I can finally say that Prema and Molina will work together in 2008. From the first test together in 2006, I always believed t hat the Vicenza based Team is one of the best to compete in the World Series by Renault Championship and together we will be able to demonstrate it. Finally I would like to thank personally Angelo Rosin and René Rosin who most of all have believed in me and I can't wait to work with Prema as soon as possible."
