Van der Garde to join DAMS at Paul Ricard

The World Series by Renault season might be finished already but that doesn't mean Giedo van der Garde can enjoy a well deserved holiday. In the upcoming weeks the Dutchman will busy himself with test sessions in Spain and France.

"Later this week I will travel to France for a two days of testing with the DAMS GP2 team," said Van der Garde. "Early October I already joined the team for a one-day test at Jerez and I was really pleased with the way we could work together. In Jerez I enjoyed a reasonable day of testing, but unfortunately I couldn't set a proper timed lap due to a flatspot on one of my tyres. Hopefuly I can show my true pace at Paul Ricard later this week.

"Two weeks later I will travel to Barcelona to join the Force India F1 team. A day of testing in Formula 1 is always great and I am already looking forward to get back in the car. One month later I have another day of testing with the F1 team scheduled at Jerez. So here is plenty of work to do in the upcoming weeks. I can't wait to get things started!"
